You guys, I wanted this to be so much faster. When I embarked on the SpireSpire journey three years ago, I lost about 17 pounds that first month. I was barely working out, and I swear I'm eating better now than I did then, and I still had these dramatic results every week. Eight pounds down the first week, between two and four pounds a week for the first couple of months. It was so exciting and rewarding and EASY when I was getting all that encouragement from the scale.
Being within 20 pounds of my goal weight, I know on a practical level that even a fresh burst of energy isn't going to yield those same exciting scale results. But I want them, and it sucks to see this happening so slowly.
However- it's happening. I was down another .2 pounds this week, even with some water retention due to girly issues, even after my Mom and I went crazy on crab legs the night before my weigh in. So I'm crossing my fingers for a nice big loss next week- it's my official employee weigh in week, and even though there have never been any negative consequences when I've officially weighed in higher than I ought to, I still get a good feeling when it's lower than it was the previous month. I need nice, solid, consistent effort this week to make that happen.
And it's tech week, which really shouldn't make a difference this time because my schedule is nice and light in the afternoons. I will have no excuse not to cook healthy meals before rehearsals. We will see if I can stick to that!
